2022 has been an incredible year and I want to continue 2023 how I ended 2022, so here are my x goals for the new year:
Grow my Social Medias and reach
In 2022 I tried out a lot of things and not all worked out. Most notable is my attempt at doing Youtube, which I did for a few months and ended with around 400 subscribers. I realized that I much prefer written content and feel much better doing that. I saw rapid growth in my followers on all platforms throughout the year and want to continue here with the following goals:
Grow my Twitter from >6000 followers to over 15000 followers by providing great content.
Grow my Seeking Alpha from >1200 followers to 5000 followers by improving the quality and quantity of articles and increasing my marketing proficiency.
Grow this Substack from >250 followers to over 3000 followers by providing monthly portfolio updates and additional shorter posts on an irregular schedule.
Personal Investing goal
I want to reach a certain amount of capital invested into equities, mostly into stocks, in 2023. I hope that the market doesn’t rally like crazy, but if it does, I’ll probably cut the goal for obvious reasons.
Develop my HMI Quality Score
For the past weeks, I’ve been trying to develop a Quality Score to more systematically analyze businesses. The score will have multiple categories and award points for each section, resulting in a score that should help show the company's quality.
Spend money on me
With the world reopening I want to keep going to concerts, something I really enjoy, even though I could invest that money instead. I am on a great track and I regard it as mandatory to spend some money on myself as well.
Develop my additional income streams
In the last months of 2022 I reached the point where my additional income streams cover my basic needs (it helps that I live at home presently). I want to be able to deploy >100% of my 9 to 5 into my portfolio
I hope you’ll stick around in 2023, follow and enhance my journey to financial freedom. Let’s continue learning and growing together!
Great list of objectives my friend. It is important to have them either written down or perfectly stated for the mind to work towards them.
