I’d put a brief opinion about the companies I own/close watch list into a post. Probably a few companies together in one post. Does this interest you all or are there enough people talking about the quarterly results already?
In my experience, earnings calls are a waste of time IF you pursue the goal of analysing and assessing the competitive advantage of companies "moats". You will likely be losing your time and diluting the impact of your work.
Thank your for the comment. I can agree partially. Often earnings calls show you valuable insights into how management thinks. You can hear what their focus is (next quarter or next decade for example) and learn things about the company. It absolutely depends on the company of course, a great example is Watsco. Very valuable earnings calls in my opinion.
Agreed. Of course listening to what management has to say is invaluable to feed one's reflexion on the investment worthiness of a company. I should have said that your REPORTING on these earnings call will likely not be worth it, bar exceptions such as the one you mention.

Thank you for your opinion Scott. I don't want to spam people on here, so always important to know what people want.
